Fucking usurper, possession by default. Spend another night sleeping beside my ghost. Proprietary sin, no longer of this earth: a poltergeist inside my former home. No sun will set for me. Forced to find shelter in the shadows or inside a blackened heart. I cling to useless arteries but they can’t withstand the weight of worldly burden and neither can I. This body is not yours. No sanctuary underneath familiar skin. You are nothing but a surrogate. Persecution of the soul will lead to false imprisonment. Unrelenting isolation breeds eternal suffering. Usurper, this body isn’t yours.

I love the light and shade between Bryan's dirty and Emma's forlorn vocals. There are so many layers to this recording that are driven home through contrast. Plus the riffs are brilliant and get me moving. I can't stop listening to Thou and Emma in general lately. spaceman2250

everything about this compilation is fantastic: funds go to a good cause, a good primer on bands that are openly anti-racism ans great tracks. 10/10 Sterling
