Genocide
Origins
From slaves to Native Indians
The roots are rotten on this tree we all still swing,
This bitter fruit
More the same Leaf to root
Ghosts in suits
Smoke echoes
Fill dark hall and rush to zion
But buried in this dirt
These mass graves of fortune tellers
Scream “tomorrow’s bygone”
All their land Their laws
They're done
We're all
Dying to
Burn (Burn) Burn their precincts
Don't you say a word about some justice
There’s none in this place, it just can't live here
So tear these walls down, this foundation festered
Burn (Burn) Burn their prairies
Set fire to these plains, they're growing weary
Their mountains lead no where but desolation
Rip out these roots; this grain grows domination
And how the fuck / Are you so calm?
He kept his fucking job!
Still these racist laws roam plantation blocks and terrorize all these
Blood shot eyes
Crying dust and fire
Crying dust and fire
Massacre
Genocide
Thin lines inside a history of lies
Burn (Burn) Burn their prairies
Set fire to these plains, they're growing weary
Their mountains lead no where, but desolation
Rip out these roots this grain grows domination
from cradle to grave - sure some names have changed
BUT THIS FLAG WILL ALWAYS ENSLAVE

I love the light and shade between Bryan's dirty and Emma's forlorn vocals. There are so many layers to this recording that are driven home through contrast. Plus the riffs are brilliant and get me moving. I can't stop listening to Thou and Emma in general lately. spaceman2250

everything about this compilation is fantastic: funds go to a good cause, a good primer on bands that are openly anti-racism ans great tracks. 10/10 Sterling
