Fuck your claims of aberration, habitual not deviation
Incident not isolated, but this time there's proof
Melting pot has boiled over, angels have lost composure
Burning and looting, the beatings and shootings raged for a week
What we saw with our own eyes was not justice just a crime
Up in flames all vision blurred, black clouds engulfed the earth
Unraveling sanity on Florence and Normandie
Citywide curfew declared from dusk till dawn
What we saw with our own eyes was not justice just a crime
War on the streets, cars overturned, we watched the city burn
Up in flames all vision blurred, black clouds engulfed the earth
Destruction of property took precedence over humanity
the epitaph on the tombstone
“This is America, This is a warzone”
Oppression bares down with the weight of a ton so they send it back tenfold where it came from
Throwing fireballs, the graffiti on the walls says “the systems broke”
The guilty reign and they ignited the fuse, shortened by years of physical and verbal abuse
Struck 56 times by a uniformed gang but they still walked free terrorizing the people
No justice no peace, just conflict on the streets
the anger was unleashed, aimed at a fucked up system
the epitaph on the tombstone
“This is America, This is a warzone”
Not sure any of these liner notes need to be in there but if it fits the format other bands are presenting here's anything they could need

I love the light and shade between Bryan's dirty and Emma's forlorn vocals. There are so many layers to this recording that are driven home through contrast. Plus the riffs are brilliant and get me moving. I can't stop listening to Thou and Emma in general lately. spaceman2250
everything about this compilation is fantastic: funds go to a good cause, a good primer on bands that are openly anti-racism ans great tracks. 10/10 Sterling
